Amazing Jomblang Cave Tour

Description

Jomblang Cave is a vertical cave that looks like an enormous sinkhole with the 90 meters depth . It is located in Jetis, Pacarejo, Semanu, Gunungkidul Regency, and is reachable in 2 hours from Jogjakarta City, where the land in this area is part of the southern highland of Java Island, which is composed of the karst highland that was at the bottom of the ocean millions of years ago.

To reach the bottom of Jomblang Cave, the authority provided a human-operated crane to descend to the cave’s bottom as well as to ascend back, two by two. An earlier departure from the hotel in Yogyakarta is very suggested, as the total number of people allowed to visit this cave is only 80 for a day. Those who come earlier will be given priority. At the bottom of this cave, visitors could watch the beautiful stalagmite and stalactite. If you are lucky, in the middle of the day, when the sun passes on the cave, you can watch it like a heaven light.
